PaperScope
For students, before submission

Know your scores before you hand it in.

Upload your assignment, essay or thesis and get two PDF reports back: how much of it matches other sources — the plagiarism side — and how much of it reads as AI-written. Your file is deleted 24 hours after the results are ready, and never added to any database.

How it works

Three steps to your first report.

  1. 1

    Create your account

Your name, an email and a password. It takes less than a minute, and it is free.

  2. 2

    Redeem a code

A code adds slots to your account. One slot checks one file, and a file that cannot be checked gives its slot back.

  3. 3

    Upload, then download

Drop in your file and follow it live, step by step. When it is done, both reports are one click away.

The two reports

Two different questions, answered separately.

Every file gets both, each with its own score and its own PDF.

Similarity

Example
24%

How much of your text matches other sources, as a percentage. The PDF shows the matching passages and where they come from, so you can fix citations before anyone else sees them.

AI writing

Example
*% Low: somewhere between 1% and 19%

How much of the text reads as AI-generated. A low score is shown as *%, meaning somewhere between 1% and 19%, instead of an exact number. The PDF marks the passages it counted.

Your file

Checked, then gone.

Your file and both reports are deleted automatically 24 hours after the results are ready. Only the two scores stay in your history, so you can look back at them later.

No-repository guarantee

Every check runs in no-repository mode: your file is never added to any plagiarism-checking database, so it will not match against itself when you hand it in.

Questions

Before you start.

What is a slot?

One slot checks one file. Slots come from codes, and each code's slots last a set number of days from the day you redeem it. When you have more than one code, the slots that expire first are used first.

How do I get a code?

You get one when you buy checks, and redeem it on your account. Once you have a code, everything else — including asking us something — happens inside your account.

How long does a check take?

Most files ready in under 20 minutes. Your file's page shows each step as it happens, and you can close it: the results will be waiting when you come back.

What if my file cannot be checked?

You are told why, for example a password-protected file or a name that is too long, and the slot goes back to your account straight away.

What does *% mean?

The AI-writing score is low, somewhere between 1% and 19%, so no exact number is given.

Will my assignment be saved in any database?

No. Every check runs in no-repository mode: your file is never added to any plagiarism-checking database, so it will not match against itself when you hand it in.

Do you keep my work?

No. Your file and both reports are deleted 24 hours after the results are ready. Only the two scores stay in your history.
